Natural Yellow Citrine Silver Ring with Faceted Oval Cut
$306.00
A handmade sterling-silver ring set with a natural citrine, cut as a large faceted oval. The setting is left open behind the stone, so light passes through the facets rather than stopping at the metal.
Citrine is a quartz — hard, clear and durable enough for daily wear — and its warm yellow reads brightest in daylight.
Crafted to Order
Each ring, pendant or bracelet is made only after you order — to your size, stone and details. Crafting takes 4 to 8 weeks, plus 1 to 2 weeks for international shipping.
Ready-made pieces ship within a few days.

The Stone
A natural citrine: the yellow variety of quartz, and one of the few transparent stones that holds a warm colour without going pale. This one is a large oval, cut with facets rather than polished into a dome, so the stone works with light instead of simply holding colour.
Look into it and you will find the faint internal lines and veils that belong to natural quartz. They are not flaws in the cutting; they are how you know the stone grew rather than being poured.
Cut for Light
A faceted stone and a cabochon do different things. A cabochon gives you depth of colour in one smooth curve; facets break the light into planes and send it back at you, so the stone flashes as the hand moves.
That is also why the setting is left open behind the stone. Light enters from beneath as well as from the front, passes through the citrine and comes back out through the facets — closed at the back, the same stone would read darker and flatter.
What Tradition Says
Citrine has long been spoken of as a stone of warmth and of good fortune — it is said to lift the spirits of the one who wears it, and yellow stones are traditionally associated with clarity of mind and with abundance.
These meanings come from long-standing belief and custom, not from any claim we make about this object itself.
Made at Our Own Bench
The silver is cast, then hammered, sawn and filed into shape, and every design, pattern and texture in the metal is worked onto the piece by the craftsman’s own hand before the whole is polished from a rough finish up to a bright shine. The stone is then set and the ring finished to order.
Working this way does not mean working without tools — a jeweller’s bench has never been without drills, burrs and rotary tools, and our craftsmen use them. What it means is that every line, every cut and every stage of the finish is judged by a trained eye and set by a steady hand, rather than reproduced from a die.
Make It Yours
A faceted stone like this one is not engraved on its face. The band is resizable to your exact size, and this design can be made again to order, so you are not limited to the single piece shown. If you have a particular depth of yellow in mind, tell us when you order, or write to us before that.
Wearing and Care
Citrine is a quartz and stands up well to daily wear — it is hard, and it does not scratch easily. Keep it away from bleach, strong household cleaners and steam cleaners, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth when it needs it.
One thing worth knowing: citrine’s colour can pale under long, direct sunlight. It is not a stone to leave on a sunny windowsill for months at a time. Worn normally, it holds its colour.
The silver will darken slightly over time, most of all in the recesses. This is natural oxidation rather than damage, and a light polish with a silver cloth brings the brightness back whenever you want it.
What Arrives
The ring in the photographs is the piece as it is made now: a natural citrine cut as a large faceted oval, set in 925 sterling silver with the back left open. Because citrine is a natural stone and each one is cut individually, a piece made to order will be matched as closely as possible to what you see here, though the exact depth of the yellow and the pattern of the internal veiling will differ from one stone to the next.
